I have been a DBA, App Support, System Support Consultant for around sixteen years, working on systems large and small, working mainly in support and operations.
My philosophy has always been to share the knowledge I have discovered as widely as possible.
This blog is aimed at some of the more esoteric concepts around database design, systems architecture, software development, performance, high availability and recovery.
It will not contain much code, I aim to share some of the concepts that I have learned over my time that make life simpler and the systems I work with more stable and reliable.
